Martha Jean Loving: Obituary

Martha Jean Loving, age 83, of Blue Ridge, passed away on Wednesday, April 26, 2017 in Ducktown, TN. Born on January 26, 1934 in Chatsworth, GA, she was the daughter of the late Rev. George Washington Beach, Sr. and Era Panter Beach. She was a member of Pleasant Grove Baptist Church. She is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Troy Clinton Loving; son, Troy Lynn Loving; sister, Francis Beach; and brother, George “Junior” Beach.

She is survived by daughters, Louise Loving Raper of Blue Ridge, Donna Loving Mashburn of Blue Ridge, and Janet Loving of McCaysville; grandchildren, Clinton Raper, Clint Mashburn, Michelle Mashburn Hawkins, Betty Jean Raper Jones, Cathy Mashburn Hamby, Jeannie Raper Romesberg, Daniel Mashburn, and April Raper Land; great-grandchildren, Cory Raper, Tiffany Raper, Amberlie Mashburn, Dionna Sisson, Destiny Sisson, Sierra Jones, Eli Jones, Halie Hamby, Clinton Romesberg, Kristian Romesberg, Isaac Romesberg, Bryson Mashburn, Madelyn Land, and CJ Land; great-great-grandchildren, Weston Mashburn and Ally Knight; brother and sister-in-law, James and Betty Beach of Blue Ridge; sisters-in-law, Carol Beach of Blue Ridge and Kay Davis of Mineral Bluff; sisters, Dorothy Carroll of Blue Ridge, Lora Vee Anderson of Marietta, and Rose Lee Russell of Epworth; and several nieces and nephews also survive.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, April 30, 2017, at 2:00 pm from Akins Funeral Home Chapel of Blue Ridge. Rev. Billy Ray Queen, Rev. Clinton Raper, Rev. Doug Pritchett and Rev. Terry Thrasher will officiate. Music will be provided by Betty Jean Jones, Jeannie Romesberg and Tim Nicholson. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Clinton Raper, Clint Mashburn, Mark Jones, Larry James Beach, Ray Watkins and Arnold Watkins. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:00 pm to 9:00 pm. The family requests donations be made to help defray final expenses.
