Mr. Lee L. Davis: Obituary

Mr. Lee L. Davis, age 76, of Blue Ridge passed away on April 12, 2017. Born in Epworth, GA, he was the son of the late George Washington and Nora Millsaps Davis. He had worked for a number of years in delivery and sales for both Blue Ridge Supply and the Patterson Lumber Company. Mr. Davis was a long time member of the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church. He also served our country in the United States Army and was stationed in Germany during the Vietnam War. Also preceding him death was his siblings; Warren Davis, Nola Lockmiller, Myrtle Ash, Willene Patterson, Curt Davis and William Davis.

Survivors include his wife; Kathryn Goethe Davis of Blue Ridge; GA; sons and daughter-in-law, Melvin Davis of Ocala, FL, Warren Davis of Blue Ridge, GA, Ronald and Chastity Davis of Hiawassee Dam, NC; daughter and son-in-law, Catherine and Edward Mullins of Mims, FL; brother, Herman Davis of Ormond Beach, FL; sisters, Reathel Bryan of Blue Ridge, GA and Polly Raper of Farner, TN; 8grandchildren and 17 great grandchildren.

Funeral services will be conducted on Friday, April 14 at 2:00 PM from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with the Rev. Jerry Banks officiating. Interment will follow in the Mt. Moriah Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Joe Dan Wilkins officiating. The grandsons have been selected to serve as pallbearers. Clay Davis and the Men of Mt. Moriah Baptist Church have been selected to serve as honorary pallbearers. Full military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Thursday evening from 5-9 p.m. For those desiring memorial contributions may be sent to the Mineral Springs Center at P.O.
