Mrs. Betty Brannen, age 91, formerly of Atlanta, GA, passed away on April 2, 2017 in the Hayesville House Assisted Living in Hayesville, NC. Born in Habersham County, GA, she was the daughter of the late Walton Winfred and Linnie May Davis Burrell. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Charles Crisp Brannen. Mrs. Brannen and her husband were long time members of the Atlanta Primitive Baptist Church.
Survivors include her niece and husband, Barbara and Frank Russell of Ducktown, TN; and a host of nieces and nephews from both the Brannen and Burrell families.
Graveside services will be conducted on Thursday, April 6, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Resthaven Garden of Memory Cemetery at 2284 Candler Rd. Decatur, GA 30032 with Pastor Pat McCoy officiating. Music will be provided by Susan Hudson. In lieu of flowers the family has requested that donations be made to Four Season’s Compassion for Life Hospice online at www.fourseasonscfl.org. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
