Miss Fannin County High School Pageant 2017

Fifteen contestants participated in the annual Miss Fannin County High School pageant this year, held on March 25th, 2017 in the FCHS Performing Arts Center.

Hosted by Jacob McClure and 2016 Miss FCHS, Charitty Tuttle, the contestants included Kaitlyn Jones, Cassandra Stepp, Patience Giet, Katy Ledford, Kaitlyn Dickey, Madeline Sisson, Katie Bishop, Lauren Hubbard, Deanna Greene, Hannah Broyles, Bailee Holtslander, Jessica Sisson, Avery White, Jenna Garrison, and Kayla Flanagan.

Each of the contestants were asked to perform a talent and then show off their dresses to the judges. Of the fifteen girls that entered, only five were selected to move onto the next round of judging in the pageant. Excited to move on, the contestants randomly selected a question to be asked in the on-stage interview. The top five contestants were Jenna Garrison, Kaitlyn Dickey, Deanna Greene, Kaitlyn Jones, and Cassandra Stepp.

Mylee Butler, Charitty Tuttle, and Collin Queen also sang at the pageant as special entertainment.

Coming to the end of the Pageant, tensions grew as the winners were announced. The audience voted Cassandra Stepp for the People’s Choice Award in the pageant. The judges then voted Kaitlyn Dickey to receive the Miss Congeniality award and 1st Runner up; Deanna Greene received 2nd Runner up.

Jenna Garrison won best talent for her musical solo performance of “On My Own” from the musical Les Miserables; she also won best interview and the title of the new Miss FCHS 2017.
