Helen Lucille Allen: Obituary

Helen Lucille Allen, age 89, of Ducktown, TN passed away Saturday, March 25, 2017. Mrs. Allen was a daughter of the late Earnest and Ada Watts Henson. She had worked at Copper Basin Medical Center in the kitchen department. She was a member of the Word of God Tabernacle in the Stansbury community of Turtletown. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Wade Allen.

She is survived by sons, Richard Allen of Turtletown, TN, James “Cotton” Allen and wife, Sharon of Brasstown, NC; daughters, Barbara Allen Chadwich of Calhoun, TN, Ruby Allen Culbertson of McCaysville, GA; sister, Lowanda Smith of Ducktown, TN; sixteen grandchildren; twenty five great-grandchildren; one great-great grandchild.

Funeral services will be conducted Tuesday, March 28, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Billy Bryant officiating. Music will be by Scott Bryant. Pallbearers include, Shon Thompson, James Thompson, Jose Gerena, Derek Allen, Seth Allen, and Cameron Morrow. Interment will follow in the Macedonia “Wolf Creek” cemetery.
