Bette Ann Neal, age 77, passed away on Sunday, March 12, 2017 in Summerville, GA. Born on March 7, 1940 in Detroit, MI, she was the daughter of the late Ivan Hilsinger and Dolores Kimm Hilsinger. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Steve Neal; brothers, Jerry Hilsinger and Jack Hilsinger; and sisters, Joan Boomer and Carolyn Bocquet.
She is survived by daughters and sons-in-law, Dolores and David Tenniswood of Blairsville, GA and Karen Michelle and Alex Smith of Dahlonega, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, William Clinton and Kelly Neal of Lake Orion, MI and Richard Steve and Kris Neal of Shelby Township, MI; brother and sister-in-law, Robert and Carolyn Hilsinger of Berkley, Michigan; 9 grandchildren, Lynsey (Kalian) Bagos, Casey (Louis) St.-Amant, Sarah (Andrew) Pierce, Steven Neal, Robert Neal, Chelsea Neal, Ean Smith, Paige Neal, and Crystal Neal; and 7 great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, March 19, 2017, at 1:00 pm from Akins Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in the Chastain Memorial Park. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5:00 pm to 7:00 pm. Donations in memory of Mrs. Neal may be made to the Alzheimer’s Association 225 N.
