Mary Helen Hall: Obituary

Mary Helen Hall, age 59, of Copperhill, passed away on Saturday, February 11, 2017 at her home. Born on September 14, 1957, in Atlanta, GA, she was the daughter of the late Thomas Jefferson Vessell and Sarah Frances Carter Vessell. She worked as a housekeeper for Polk County Home Health. She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, James Meredith Hall; and brother Tommy Vessell.

She is survived by daughters, Meredith Marie Martinez of Jackson, GA, and Amy Lee Howell of Copperhill; son, Henry Edward Hall of Copperhill; grandchildren, Chasity Abna, Destiny Abna, Shayne Norris, Raven Howell, Dylan Taylor, Kelsey Lewis, Hannah Hall, Caitlyn Hall, Christofpher Henderson, Cason Hawkins, Daniel Martinez, David Martinez, and Heather Martinez; 9 great-grandchildren; and sisters, Martha Diane Payne, Patricia Lee Vessell, and Gail Estelle Hall all of Copperhill.

Funeral services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 15, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Staffordtown Holiness Church. Pastor Tyke Prince will officiate. A eulogy will be given by Kelsey Lewis. Music will be provided by Hazel Hembree and Dale Payne. Pallbearers will be Bob Patterson, David Patterson, Clark Lewis, Jason Tanner, Daniel Barbee, and Jathan Hawkins. Interment will follow in the Hembree Family Cemetery. The family will visit with friends at Akins Funeral Home of Copperhill on Monday, February 13 and Tuesday, February 14 from 1:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations be made to help defray funeral expenses.
