William Francis Donahue, age 89, passed away on Thursday, January 26, 2017 in Blue Ridge, GA. Born on October 14, 1927 in Milwaukee, WI, he was the son of the late William Donahue and Frances Diercksmeir Donahue. He retired as a Realtor. He was a member of St. Catherine Laboure Catholic Church. He served in the United States Marine Corps for 8 years and was a veteran of World War II.
He is survived by wife, Barbara Donahue of Blue Ridge, GA; sons and daughters-in-law, William Francis Donahue, Jr. and Paula Donahue of Lake Forest Park, WA, and Tim and Stephanie Sauser of Naples, FL; daughters and sons-in-law, Jackie and Jeff Spath of Seminole, FL, Kathleen and James Diorio of Bristol, WI, Patricia Leigh Donahue and Jordan Sensibar of Milwaukee, WI, Margaret “Peggy” and Michael Bentley of Lake Geneva, WI, Eileen and Len Platt of Gaithersburg, MD, Brigid and Scott Perrigo of Whitefish Bay, WI, and Amy and Jim Webb of Naples, FL; brothers, Gerald Ryan of Naples, FL and Patrick Ryan of Madison, WI; sisters, Lynn Ryan of Lawrenceburg, IN and Colleen Myer of Panama City, FL; grandchildren, Sean Donahue, Molly Donahue, Daniel Kaiser, Kimberly Panasewicz, Gina Diorio, Jason Lloyd, Erin Zachman, Natalie Fiske, Ryan Bentley, Andy Bentley, Kevin Platt, Melanie Platt, Michael Platt, Olivia Perrigo, Rachel Perrigo, Jamie Webb, Ben Webb, Amber Spath, Amy Spath, and Lexi Sauser; and great-grandchildren, Marlie Panasewicz, Lincoln Panasewicz, Mackenzie Zachman, and Treyden Platt.
Memorial services will be conducted on Wednesday, February 1, 2017, at 11:00 am from St. Catherine’s Laboure Catholic Church in McCaysville, GA. Military Honors will be by North Georgia Honor Guard.
