Mary Marie Seabolt Padgett, age 93, of Ducktown, TN, passed away on Monday, January 23, 2017, at Cameron Hall assisted living facility in Ellijay, GA. Born in Copperhill, TN, she was the daughter of the late William Elisha and Della Bright Seabolt of Epworth, GA. She was preceded in death by husband Charles Padgett; brothers, Robert Earnest, William Roy, and Ralph Alvin Seabolt; sisters, Retha Mae German (Otto), Wanda Earleen Seabolt, and Helen Lotrell Ballew (Ed); daughter, Theresa Satterfield (Robert); and grandson Michael Satterfield. She retired from the Copper Basin Medical Center in Copperhill, TN, in 1992 after 30 years of service in the dietary department. She was a long time member of Mine City Baptist Church in Ducktown, TN.

Survivors include her son, Jerry Padgett (Lil) of McEwen, TN; daughter Gwen Miller (Hersey) of Statesville, NC; grandchildren Rodney (Joyce) of Epworth, GA, Kelly Young of Acworth, GA, Duane Satterfield (Christine) of Evergreen, CO, Lori Buckheister (Davis) of Suwanee, GA, and Nan Johnson (Danny) of Statesville, NC; four great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.

The family extends special thanks to the staff of Cameron Hall of Ellijay (Five Star Senior Living) for their special care since January 2012, and to Heartlite Hospice Ellijay for their care since March 2014.

Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, January 28, 2017 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel in Blue Ridge, GA. Interment will follow in the Sugar Creek Cemetery. Visitation with the family will be on Saturday morning prior to the service from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. Memorial contributions in memory of Mrs. Padgett may be made to Heartlite Hospice Ellijay, Inc. 772 Maddox Drive #112, East Ellijay, GA 30540-8197.
