Mrs. Helen Patsy Prince, age 76, of the Burgertown Community passed away on January 11, 2017 in the Emory St. Joseph’s Hospital in Atlanta, GA. She and her late husband, Lonnie Howard Prince had been a part of the Burgertown community since 1974. She had received her Bachelors Degree in Nursing and had worked at both Copper Basin Medical Center and Fannin Regional Hospitals. Mrs. Price was also a member of the Isabella Baptist Church. Also preceding her death was here parents, Ellard and Flora Hyatt Allen; one grandson, Christopher Lee Pittman; five sisters and three brothers.
Survivors include her children, Kathy and husband, Lester Sorrells of Epworth, GA, Tammy Bigham of Blue Ridge, GA and Victor Prince of Orlando, FL; sisters, Edna Barnett and husband, Franklin of Murphy, NC and Marie Bryant of Mineral Bluff, GA; grandchildren, Holly Bigham and Jacob Bigham; great grandchildren, William Pittman, Nathen Pittman and Robert Pittman; and two grand dogs, Oscar and Sophie.
Funeral services will be conducted on Saturday, January 14, 2017 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jeremiah Jack officiating. Music will be conducted by Champ Prince, Gina and Gloria Coleman. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
