Mrs. Nettie A. Fisher: Obituary

Nettie A. Fisher, age 78, passed away on Saturday, January 7, 2017 at her residence in Epworth, GA. She was born on February 1, 1938 in Mineral Bluff, GA, to the late Worth and Fleecy May Fisher Collins. She retired from American Uniforms as a Machine Operator. Mrs. Fisher had served as a pianist for many years in the community for various area churches. Two brothers, Homer and Kenneth Collins also precedes her death.

Survivors include her husband of 61 years, Rev. Frank Fisher; two sons, Cliff (Christy) Fisher of Jasper, GA and David F. Fisher, Jr. (Net May) of Ellijay, GA; brothers and sister-in-laws, W. C. and Judy Collins of Mineral Bluff, GA and Dewey and Gail Collins of Canton, GA; one grandson, Chad Fisher; and one great grandson, Connor Fisher.

Funeral services will be conducted on Monday, January 9, 2017, at 2:00 pm from Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge with Rev. L.B. Adams officiating. Interment will follow in the Friendship #2 Baptist Church Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Junior Collins, Steve McDaniel, Sam Cole, Ed Vest, Bill Cochran, and Barry Thomas. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Sunday evening from 2:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
