Mrs. Peggy Sue Mayhew: Obituary

Mrs. Peggy Sue Mayhew, age 56, of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, December 28, 2016 in the Erlanger Medical Center in Chattanooga, TN. Mrs. Mayhew was born on October 14, 1960 in Cleveland, TN to the late Richard Thompson and Rose Blackwell Thompson. She worked as a Certified Nursing Assistant (C.N.A.) for 20 years at Blue Ridge Health Care. She was preceded in death by her daughter Rosemary Self.

Mrs. Mayhew is survived by her husband, Allen Mayhew of Copperhill, TN; son and daughter-in-law, Michael and Henrietta Self of Copperhill, TN; daughter, Mitzi Self of McCaysville; five grandchildren, Heaven Newberry of McCaysville, GA, Christen Newberry of McCaysville, GA, Gracie Hughes of Blue Ridge, GA, Samantha Brummitt of Cherry Log, GA, and Greg Brummitt of Rome, GA; and four great grandchildren, Leah Hughes, Elijah Brummitt, Benton Brummitt, and Rayne Brummitt.

Funeral services will be held Friday, December 30, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Bill Sisson officiating. Pallbearers will be Michael Self, Clayton Hughes, Jeremy White, James Candalaria, Josh Jarrett, and Brian Wheeldon. Interment will follow in Bethel Church Cemetery.
