Amos Omer Miller, age 89, of Copperhill, TN passed away Wednesday, November 9, 2016. Mr. Miller was a member of Mt. Olive Baptist Church and was a veteran of WWII serving in the U.S. Army. He owned and operated Miller Transmissions for a number of years. He was preceded in death by parents, Everett Miller and Birdie Ellen Duckett Miller; children, Jackie Miller, Danny Miller, and Janice Parks; brothers, Claude Miller and Homer Miller; and sister Lana Frasier.
He is survived by children, Ronnie Miller of Farner, TN, Cecil Miller of Cleveland, TN, Evelyn Ledford of Benton, TN, Ellen Grizzell of Epworth, GA; brother, Carl Miller pf Waukegan, IL; sister, Myrtle Loudermilk of Turtletown, TN; Twelve grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and five great-great grandchildren.
A graveside service will be conducted Friday, November 11, 2016 at 4:00 PM from the Friendship # 3 Church Cemetery with Rev. Jeremy Tipton officiating. Full military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 6:00 PM until 9:00 PM and also Friday, from 1:00 p.m. until the funeral procession departs for the graveside service at approximately 3:30 p.m. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
