The 2016-2017 FCMS REACH Georgia Scholars, 3 of our FCMS REACH mentors, and FCMS REACH Academic Coach, attended a field trip to UNGC with the 10th grade honor students from FCHS on November 2nd, 2016. The students attended a presentation , toured the beautiful University of North Georgia College campus in Dahlonega , enjoyed lunch at the UNGC dining hall as well as a visit to the UNGC Bookstore. The visit to UNGC is one of several activities the REACH Scholars will be involved with to increase interest ( college /career) and encourage personal motivation . We would like to thank , Jill Key, Graduation Coach/FCHS REACH Academic Coach for FCHS students and Heather Collis , FCHS Academic Coach, for the invitation to attend this trip with them. Thank you to everyone that helps make all of this possible, as so many are involved in this process and the journey. We look forward to our next field trip that FCMS Scholars are hoping to attend in January.
