Patrick Dennis Libbey, age 67, of Morganton, passed away on Saturday, October 8, 2016 at his home. He was born on September 27, 1949, in San Jose City, CA. He worked for 25 years with Fannin County and served as Fleet Captain of the Fannin County EMS and Sherriff’s Office, and Fire Department.
He is survived by his wife, Kathy Libbey of Morganton; sons and daughters-in-law, Michael and Kelley Richardson of Raleigh, NC and Brian and Bethany Libbey of Comer, GA; and grandchildren, Emma Richardson, Aydan Richardson, and Alayna Libbey.
A memorial service will be conducted on Sunday, October 16, 2016 at 3:30 PM from the Lake Blue Ridge Marina. Rev. Michael Collis will officiate. Fireman’s last call will be conducted by Larry Thomas. The family will visit with friends at the funeral home on Sunday, October 16, 2016 from 12:00 to 3:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family online at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
