Dorothy “Juanita” Elrod , age 73 of Morganton, passed away Sunday, September 25, 2016 at her home. Juanita was born January 2, 1943 in Morganton, GA to the late Lewin Elrod and Ivilee Bell Elrod. A member of Oak Grove Baptist Church, she was preceded in death by sister, Louise Elrod, Brother’s, Robert Elrod, Arlen Elrod and Alfred Elrod.
Survivors include: sister, Ella Mae Voyles and sister, Ella V Elrod.
Funeral services:Saturday, October 1, 2016 at 1:00 P.M. at the New Hope Baptist Church with the Rev. Cecil Anderson and Rev. Larry Turner officiating. Music provided by: James Rich and the Turner Family singers . Interment will follow in New Hope Baptist Church Cemetery . Pallbearers: Jimmy Elrod, Melvin Elrod, Jacob Abercrombie, Ronnie Bennett, Scott Dye, Toy Davis and Billy Turner.
