Mrs. Marjorie Gwynn Franklin: Obituary

Mrs. Marjorie Gwynn Franklin, age 82 of Blue Ridge, passed away September 20, 2016 at her home. Mrs. Franklin was born October 28, 1933 in Delano, TN to the late N.B Gwynn Sr. and the late Erma Mantooth Gwynn. Mrs. Franklin was of Baptist faith, and in her spare time she enjoyed watching the Atlanta Braves play baseball. Marjorie was preceded in death by husband, Homer Franklin, father, N.B Gwynn Sr., mother , Erma Mantooth Gwynn, and sister, Reba Pack.

Survivors include: sister, Betty Mashburn, brother, N.B. (Betty) Gwynn Jr., brother, Robert (Bobbie) Gwynn and several nieces and nephews.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, September 22, 2016 at 2:00 pm at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home with the Rev. John Baker officiating. Music provided by Jerri Sue Massengale. Interment will follow in Crestlawn Cemetery. Pallbearers include Joseph Quinn, Gabriel Montgomery, Dade Montgomery, D.J. Underwood, Don Hall and Ronnie Bennett.

The family has requested that in lieu of flowers, that donations be made to your favorite charity or a local church of your choice.

The family will receive friends at the Henry-Cochran Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, Thursday, September 22, 2016, from 12:00 pm – 2:00 pm.
