Can you create a paper bag basket that can hold the most weight?

Mrs. Mitchell’s 5th grade science classes completed a STEM challenge. The students had to create a paper bag basket that held the most weight. Students were allowed to use 2 paper bags, 8 inches of tape, and scissors. Students followed the process of: Ask, Imagine, Plan (using their STEM journals), Create, Improve, and Present. When in the testing phase they used coins, marbles and bottled water to see which would hold the most weight.
