Fannin County Rebels Media Day

“…I think we will be real explosive on offense.”
The Fannin County Rebels had their team pictures and Media Day on Friday, where I was able to speak to Fannin County Head Coach, James Pavao.
“We know our kids will play hard, and that we will have good leadership from our seniors,”Pavao said. “I think we will be real explosive on offense. We have a good offensive line so I expect us to move the ball well.”
During the 2015 campaign, the Rebels averaged 229 yards through the air, with now senior QB Brad Davis still behind center, I expect much of the same result when it comes to passing. The Rebels averaged almost 165 yards on the ground. A couple key starters from last years backfield graduated, but a young stable of running backs with a big offensive line just might be able to boost the rushing average even higher.
Coach Pavao also said that he believes this years team is ahead of last years. Which is another great sign for Fannin County fans as the game with Gilmer County draws closer. Fannin hopes to end a four year losing streak on August 19th, when the Rebels take on the Bobcats in Gilmer County. This could be the beginning of a very special season for the Rebels. I believe that this team has the ability to do something that hasn’t been done since 2010, and that is to make a run at the playoffs.
