Mr. Charles Cleaston Barnes, better known as “Bud”, age 73, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away on June 26, 2016. Born in Copperhill, TN, he was the son of the late Roy William and France Nell Mealer Barnes. Bud mostly of all loved spending time with his family and also enjoyed watching pro wrestling.
Survivors include his wife, Esther Barnes of the home; son, Billy Barnes; daughter, Rosemary Flynn; brother and sister-in-law, Bill and Shirley Barnes; grandchildren, Tiffany Zimmerman, Sydney Flynn, Victoria Dockery and Cannan Barnes; and several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services were conducted on Tuesday, June 28, 2016 at 6:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. John Bramlett and Rev. Keith Bennett officiating. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the National Kidney Foundation, National Parkinson Foundation or to help the family defray final expenses.
