FetchYourNews.com has learned that Roy Parsons has resigned. Parsons was the head of City of Blue Ridge Planning and Zoning department. Mayor Donna Whitener told FYN that it is going to be hard for the city to find someone else with Parsons experience and credentials. Mayor Whitener went on to say Parsons has been a great asset to the city and to replace someone like Roy will be difficult. A tremendous loss to the city.
In an email Parsons sent today at 5 o’clock today to the Mayor and Council he advised them July 7th would be his last day on the job.

Huge loss for Blue Ridge! Roy will be missed on many levels! He brought a sense of reason, intelligence, class and solid common sense to the city's zoning and planning department. He went above and beyond to research the laws and follow the law.
