Mrs. Sandra Jo Towery: Obituary

Sandra Jo Towery, age 71, of Copperhill, TN passed away Tuesday,  June 14, 2016. Sandra was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a daughter of the late Joseph Winston and Odeis Dockery Hughes. She had worked for many years as the Director of the Fannin County Headstart Program. She had also worked with her daughter at the Photocrafter in Blue Ridge, GA. She attended the McCaysville Copperhill First Baptist Church.

She is survived by her husband, Bill Towery of the home; son, William Jack Towery, II of Copperhill, TN; daughter, Tiffany Towery of Blue Ridge, GA; brothers and sisters-in-law, Steve and Paulette Hughes of McCaysville, GA, Joe and Marie Hughes of Mineral Bluff, GA.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, June 17th at 1:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Jack Buchanan officiating. Music will be by Madison Denton. Interment will follow in the Pantertown cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Thursday evening from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Flowers will be accepted but the family request that donations be made in memory of Sandra to the Pantertown Cemetery Fund c/o Glenn Hughes 49 Stuart Mt.
