Mr. Robert Allen Harper: Obituary

Mr. Robert Allen Harper, age 79, of Mineral Bluff, GA, passed away on June 7, 2016 at his home surrounded by his children. Born in Murphy, NC, he was the son of the late Robert Nathan and Flora Lee Allen Harper. He served his country in the United States Air Force. Mr. Harper was a retired Electrician who was a member of the IBEW #701 in DuPage County, IL. He was also preceded in death by a brother, Steve Harper.

Survivors include his children, Allen Harper of Woodstock, GA, Renee Houden (Magne) of Lake Geneva, WI, and Sandra (George Snyder) Harper of Sparta, WI; best friend and companion, Linda Stotsbery; brothers, John Harper and Larry Harper; sisters, Patsy Bethel, Barbara Owens, Frances Watkins, Margaret Edwards and Linda Sayne; grandchildren, Jillian, Kai, Justine, Colin, Noah, Isaiah, Sean and Zoey.

Funeral services will be conducted on Sunday, June 12, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Interment will follow in the Copper Ridge Memory Gardens. Military honors will be provided by the North Georgia Honor Guard. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Saturday evening from 5-8 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge, GA is in charge of the arrangements.
