Rain Plans for Friday’s Fannin County High School Graduation

The weather is looking questionable for the high school graduation on Friday night.  The national weather service indicates a 70% chance of rain Friday afternoon and evening and rain likely on Saturday morning.

 

Eric Cioffi, Principal of Fannin County High School, has three plans in case of rain.

No rain on Friday afternoon – graduation at 8 pm at the stadium

Rain on Friday afternoon but no rain forecast for Saturday morning – graduation at the stadium at 10 am Saturday

Rain on Friday and Saturday – graduation in the gymnasium at 8 pm Friday

 

If the graduation is in the stadium, there is plenty of room for everyone.  If the graduation is in the gymnasium, there is limited seating.  In case the graduation must be in the gymnasium, each student has received 10 tickets to pass out.  Everyone coming into the gymnasium before 7:30 pm will need a ticket.  After 7:30, people without tickets can come into the gymnasium until all seats are full.  The school will simulcast the graduation into the Performing Arts Center for people who can’t get into the gymnasium. If the graduation is in the stadium, no one needs tickets. All graduating students must be at the Fannin County High School cafeteria at 6:30 pm on Friday.

The school will decide at 6 pm on Friday night when and where the graduation will be.  They will send the information to students and parents.
