FCHS FFA Members Attend Convention

Fannin County High School FFA members attended the 88^th Georgia State FFA Convention that was held in Macon, Ga on April 27-30. Over 6000 FFA members from across the state were in attendance.

Seth Davis, Alexis Franklin, Lakota Towe, Trey Campbell, Taylor VanZandt, Sydney Williamson, and Daniel Davis were awarded the State Degree Charm which is the highest level of  FFA degree that a state can bestow. Seth Davis and Trey Campbell served as official voting delegates representing the Fannin County High School FFA Chapter, Seth Davis was first runner up in the Nursery Operations Proficiency award area, and Tayelor Long received a $750.00 scholarship to attend The Washington Leadership Conference that will be held in Washington DC this summer. The scholarship was sponsored by Representative Terry England. The members attending were entertained by keynote speaker Mrs.  Jane Herlong and were treated to a concert by Love and Theft. The Fannin County FFA Alumni entered the Georgia Alumni display board competition where they placed first.
