Fannin County Middle School 8th grade teams have announced Students of the Month for April and May. Students are chosen by their academic teachers for this distinction. Qualifications for this honor include outstanding citizenship, good attendance, respectfulness toward faculty and peers, and a good academic standing.
Students chosen for April are: Hannah Navarro (Team 8A), daughter of Rafael & Kami Navarro of Blue Ridge; Jacob Parris (Team 8A), son of Anthony & Cynthia Parris of Epworth; Olivia Akins (Team 8B), daughter of Chet & Laurie Akins of Blue Ridge; and Jake Helstrom (Team 8B), son of Mike & Virginia Helstrom of Suches.
Students chosen for May are: Brandi Harper (Team 8A), daughter of Dana Harper of Mineral Bluff; Jacob Gailey (Team 8A), son of Mike & Pam Gailey of Mineral Bluff; Hannah Ritchie (Team 8B), daughter of William & Nancy Ritchie of Blue Ridge; and Gavin Clore (Team 8B), son of Amy Stephens of Epworth.
