Fannin Rebels Tennis Conclude Season

The Fannin County High School Rebels tennis team finished the regular season last week, with region matches at home against Franklin County Monday and on the road at Banks County Tuesday.

Franklin picked up a 5-0 victory, while Banks defeated the Rebels 4-1.

Against Franklin, Trevor Neal fell 6-0, 6-0, Blake Cobb dropped his match 6-2, 6-0, while Paul Walker dropped a 6-4, 6-3 affair.

Doubles matches against Franklin saw Aaron Walden and Grant Fitts fall 6-3, 6-3 and a forfeit to give Franklin the sweep.

At Banks County, Neal was defeated 6-3, 6-2. Cobb picked up a 4-6, 6-3, 6-4 win, while Walker lost 6-2, 6-4. The lone doubles match to take place saw Fitts and Alex Prince fall 6-0, 6-3, while the other doubles match was forfeited.

The Fannin Rebels tennis team finishes the season with a 2-7 record.
