Mr. Donald Paul Barker: Obituary

Donald Paul Barker, age 66, of Epworth, GA passed away Monday, March 21, 2016. Mr. Barker was born in Atlanta, GA to the late Paul and Rozella Wright Barker. He had worked at the Tennessee Copper Company as a S02 Drill Operator. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with the grandchildren.

He is survived by his loving wife of forty six years, Martha Brown Barker of the home; daughters and sons-in-law, Donna (Mike) Collins of Mineral Bluff, GA, Shauna Barker of McCaysville, GA; brother, Lloyd Dean (Delena) Barker of Copperhill, TN; sisters, Linda Osborn of Copperhill, TN, June (Tim) Oglesby of Covington, GA, Theresa (Robert) Johnson of Copperhill, TN; grandchildren, Clay Garrett Collins, Ivy Morgan Collins and Ryan Douglas Wood.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, March 25th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with a Eulogy will be provided by daughter, Donna Collins. Pallbearers include Arthur “Todd” Brown, Chris Brown, W.C. Collins, Stanley Collins, Mike Collins and Clay Collins. Ryan Douglas Wood will serve as an Honorary Pallbearer. Interment will follow in the Lebanon Baptist Church cemetery with Rev. Phillip Weeks officiating.
