Danette Davis, Candidate for Chief Magistrate Judge of Fannin County

Danette Davis has announced her candidacy for Chief Magistrate Judge of Fannin County subject to the May 24, 2016, Non-Partisan Primary.
Davis has 18 years experience with the Magistrate Court of Fannin County.
Davis says this will be the first time since 1988 that a new Chief Magistrate Judge will be elected by the people of Fannin County. It was then that Judge Ronald L. Newton was first elected and he continued to hold the office until his tragic death in 2014.
The Magistrate Court system was established by the Georgia Legislature in 1983. Davis began serving as a Deputy Clerk when the first Magistrate Judge was in office in 1987. When Judge Newton took office in 1989, he appointed Davis to serve as Clerk of Magistrate Court. He later appointed Davis as an Associate Magistrate Judge in 2004.
Davis is 45 years old and resides in the Hardscrabble Road area of Mineral Bluff. She is the mother of one son, Kasch Brucker, age 8. Her parents are Windell and Inez Davis. She is the granddaughter of Margaret Davis and the late Lawrence Davis, and Carl and Lona Mull. Her siblings are Denise Roberts, Vincent, Vernon and Jeffery Davis.
Davis, says,

“If elected, I pledge to serve with impartiality, patience, incorruptibility, sympathy, and insight. I will work to inspire the confidence of Fannin County citizens through ability and a sense of justice.”

Davis said.
