Louise “Minnie” Woody Wilson, age 85 of Morganton, GA passed away on Thursday, January 21, 2016, at Fannin Regional Hospital following an extended illness. Louise was born on Friday, February 7, 1930, to the late Dallas Monroe Woody and Mary Melinda Hood Woody of Dial, GA. She was a special lady and loved by all. Louise was a historian of family genealogy. She took great interest in past events, current events and had great concerns for the future of her entire family. Louise was a bookkeeper for Fannin County Historical Society. She was a member of Toccoa Baptist Church. Louise was preceded in death by her husband, Robert Wilson.
Survivors are son, Robert S. Wilson of Morganton, GA; brother, Bobby Woody of Suches, GA; two grandchildren; four great- grandchildren; a host of other relatives and friends also survive.
Memorial services will be held on Tuesday, January 26, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Buddy Pittman officiating. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Tuesday, from 12:00 p.m. until the funeral hour. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
