Mr. Jeryl Timothy Burnette, age 66, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on December 29, 2015 in Jasper, GA. Born in Polk County TN, he was the son of the late Jack Thurman Burnette and Paulina Burnette Huffman Davis. Mr. Burnette had attained the rank of Eagle Scouts. He was a member of the Boardtown Church of Christ.
His survivors include his loving wife of thirty nine years, Sharon Mashburn Burnette of the home; two daughters and one son-in-law, Holly and Kevin Wells of Grovetown, GA and Jessica Harris of McCaysville, GA; brother and sister-in-law, Jimmy and Betty Burnette of Buford, GA; sisters and one brother-in-law, Carolyn and Tommy Williams of Dalton, GA and Cathy Garland of McCaysville, GA; two step brothers, Scotty Huffman of Kennesaw, GA and James Huffman of Morganton, GA; one step sister, Sue Williams of Acworth, GA; grandchildren, which were the light of his life: Ruthee Jeffers, Grace Jeffers and Logan Jeffers; and many beloved aunts, uncles, nieces and nephews.
Memorial services will be conducted on Saturday, January 2, 2016 at 2:00 p.m. from the Boardtown Church of Christ with Min. Cody Bearden, Min. Terry Stuart and Min Butch Jones officiating. Music will be led by Shannon Bearden. Interment will follow in the Boardtown Church of Christ Cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home on Friday evening from 5-9 p.m. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the North Georgia Bible Camp at 369 Oak Dr. McCaysville, GA 30555.
