Mark Edward Richards: Obituary

Mr. Mark Edward Richards, age 75 of Epworth, passed away Monday, November 23, 2015 at his home. Mr. Richards was born April 8, 1940 in Mineral Bluff, GA to the late Dahl Peter Richards and the late Ora Jane Tarpley Richards. A member of the First Baptist Church of Epworth, he was preceded in death by one brother, David A. Richards, and one sister, Patsy Ruth Richards. Mark was a graduate of East Fannin High School and served his country enlisting in the U.S. Army. In his spare time, Mark enjoyed gardening and riding on his tractor.

Survivors include loving wife, Imogene White Richards, two daughters, Mitzi (David) LeViner and Shelly (Buddy) Wehunt, three sisters, Margaret Ballew, Janice (Chuck) Motes, and Betty Jo (Wayne) Owenby, and three grandchildren, Emily Rachel Edmondson, Kyler Wehunt and Kolton Wehunt.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 am at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music provided by Doug Simonds.

The family will receive friends at the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home Friday evening, November 27, 2015, from 6:00 pm – 9:00 pm. Flowers are being accepted by the family or in lieu of flowers you may make a donation to your favorite charity in Mark’s memory.

Arrangements entrusted to the Finch-Cochran Funeral Home of McCaysville, GA. You may send condolences to the family and sign the guest register at www.cochranfuneralhomes.com.
