Geraldine Roper: Obituary

Geraldine Roper, age 75, of Acworth, GA passed away Tuesday, November 24, 2015 at Northside Cherokee Hospital in Canton, GA. Mrs. Roper was born in Union County, GA on November 12, 1940 to the late Elgin J. Allen and Grova Maie Stover Allen. She a member of Grace Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Coy P. Roper.

Mrs. Roper is survived by two sons and daughters-in-law, Coy Dale Roper and Bonnie Roper of Epworth, GA and Roy Michael Roper, Sr. and Sheril Roper of Acworth, GA; and many other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be held Saturday, November 28, 2015 at 11:00 a.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Renny Ryder officiating. Interment will follow in Toccoa Church Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Jay Allen, Randy Hampton, Michael Roper, Kerry Allen, Andy Cook and Charles Allen. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday from 4:00-10:00 p.m. Condolences may be sent to the family at www.akinsfuneralhome.com. Akins Funeral Home of Blue Ridge is in charge of arrangements.
