CTSO Leadership Training at FCHS

Training for our future leaders! A credentialed expert in this type of preparation last Tuesday treated officers of the FCHS chapters of FBLA, TSA, FCCLA, SkillsUSA, HOSA, and National FFA to professional leadership training. A total of 32 FCHS students attended an after-school session at the high school where they learned the characteristics of an effective leader and how to conduct a successful meeting.

The session was taught by Jackie Burch, a veteran teacher and leadership skills trainer.  Ms. Burch taught for 35 years in Florida. She taught courses in AP History, AP Government and Journalism. As a teacher, Ms. Burch sponsored the Student Council, the National Honor Society, and the Yearbook. She    also served as a leadership trainer for the National Association of Secondary School Principals for over 25 years. She was in charge of national and Florida leadership summer camps for over 10 years and was a judge at the Florida Academic Tournament for 30 years.
