The Fannin Rebels hosted the Union County Panthers Friday night at Rebels Stadium. It was a perfect night for football, weather was cool with clear skies. Fannin was playing for both bragging rights and the King of the Mountain Jug. Fannin came in to the match-up with a 2-1 record after winning at Armuchee the week prior.
This game was a slugfest between these two teams, pitting Fannin QB Brad Davis against Union QB Joseph Mancuso. Both quarterbacks aired it out and were able to move the ball down the field. The Rebels defense was a real factor, but Mancuso was able to run the ball which helped Union move down the field.
Union was able to hold on and get the late win, 37-31.
