“If you really fulfill the royal law according to the Scripture, “You shall love your neighbor as yourself,” you are doing well. But if you show partiality, you are committing sin and are convicted by the law as transgressors.” James 2:8-9.Our Father, your word teaches us that we are to be concerned about the spiritual and physical well being of those within our sphere of influence with the same intensity with which we are concerned about ourselves. We confess that we give far more concern to our own issues than to those of others.
Help us to treat all persons in the household of faith without partiality for we read in your Holy Book that it is sin to respect one person over another.
Guide us in all of our relationships today that we shall act in the Spirit of Christ.
Amen
