Ruby Lucille Watkins Parr: Obituary

Mrs. Ruby Lucille Watkins Parr, age 82, of Blue Ridge, GA, passed away on August 15, 2015. She was the daughter of the late James Gordon and Bertha Elizabeth Payne Watkins. Mrs. Parr was also preceded in death by three brothers and one sister. She was a loving mother, grandmother and a long time member of the Cherry Log Baptist Church. She was also baptized in Cherry Log Creek.

Survivors include his children and their spouses, Bill and Patricia Parr of Blue Ridge, GA, James and Sandra Parr of Lawrenceville, GA, and Jerry and Afrin Parr of Gainesville, GA; daughter, Cathy Mahon of the home; brother, Gene Watkins of Blue Ridge, GA; twelve grandchildren and fourteen great grandchildren also survive.

Funeral Services will be conducted on Tuesday, August 18, 2015, at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins Funeral Home Chapel with Dr. Tom Jordan officiating. Music will be provided by Bobby Dale, Ryan Crowder and Katlin Dale. Interment will follow in the Old Cherry Log Cemetery with the following gentlemen serving as pallbearers: Shane Dale, Andy Parr, Ryan Crowder, Bobby Dale, Tucker Campbell, and Justin Patterson. The great grandchildren will serve as honorary pallbearers.
