Matthew 5:9 “Blessed are the peacemakers, for they will be called sons of God.”
O God, there is so much strife in our world. There are divisions among nations who want to overpower other nations. There is conflict in our national life, our industries, our states, our local governments. There is even unrest in many of your churches.
In a time of such conflict, there is a great need for people who can bring right relationships between those involved. You have a people to whom you have given peace and you expect them to be the establishers of peaceful relationships between person and person.
There is a special joy in being at personal peace and there is a blessedness in being a peacemaker. All who do this in your name will be recognized as people who have gotten their peace from him who is the Prince of Peace.
Amen.
