Cochran Funeral Home of Hiawassee announces the death of Mr. John B. Sellers, Jr. age 76, of Hiawassee, formerly of Vero Beach, FL.,who passed away on Wednesday, May 13, 2015.John was born in Arcadia, Fl on June 6, 1938 to John B. and MaryAnn Sellers and later moved to Vero Beach, FL. After serving 8 years in the United States Air Force, he returned to Vero and worked for the USPS and also for the VB Press-Journal and Vero Beach Dodgers as a photographer before opening his own photography studio. Whether for a wedding, school portrait or other local event, several generations in Vero Beach were happy to see John on the other side of the lens. His other passion was baseball, as he touched the hearts and minds of hundreds of kids in Vero Beach, who knew him as their coach. After retiring, John moved with his loving wife of 30 years to beautiful Hiawassee, GA.
John will be warmly remembered by all who knew him, but especially missed by his family: his wife, Carol; his brother, Frank Sellers (Luetta); his sons, Charles Sellers (Pat), Brian Sellers, Gary Sellers, Steven Sellers (Heather); step-daughters, Debbie Kemper (Dan), Crissy Jacobetti (Nick); and grandsons Kelby, Matthew, Logan, and Bryce. He was preceded in death by his sister Clarice and his step-sister Patty Marshall.
Per his request, No funeral services will be held.
