Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville announces funeral services for Mrs. Clara Abercrombie Brackett, age 98, of Blairsville, who passed away Thursday, May 14, 2015 in Union County Nursing Home in Blairsville.Mrs. Brackett was born in Mineral Bluff, Georgia, on April 14, 1917, a daughter of the late Pinkney Abercrombie and the late Margaret Wright Abercrombie. She lived her entire life in Blairsville, and was a member of Liberty Hill United Methodist Church. Her husband, Grady Brackett, preceded her in death.

Mrs. Brackett is survived by her loving children and grandchildren and their families: daughter, Charlene Grizzle, of Blairsville; and son and daughter-in-law, Larry and Cathy Brackett, of Blairsville; three grandchildren and their spouses: Tim and Christa Grizzle, of Blairsville; Stephanie Hollis, of Chattanooga, Tennessee; and Shannon and Dawn Brackett, of Alpharetta, Georgia; great grandchildren: Jacob Grizzle, Jordan Grizzle, Spencer Brackett and Brooks Brackett. many other relatives and friends also survive.

Funeral services have been scheduled for Saturday, May 16, 2015, at 2:00 p.m., to be held in the Chapel of Cochran Funeral Home of Blairsville. The following gentlemen have been selected to serve as pallbearers: Tim Grizzle, Jacob Grizzle, Shannon Brackett, John Brackett, Jordan Grizzle, and Stephan Foster. Burial will be in Liberty Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery, where she will be laid to rest next to her husband Grady.

Visitation at the funeral home will begin on Friday, May 15, 2015, at 6 p.m., and last until 8 p.m.
