Mr. Jonathan Luther Runion: Obituary

Jonathan Luther Runion, age 46, of Turtletown, TN passed away Wednesday, May 13, 2015. Jonathan was a native of the Copper Basin area and was a member of the Turtletown Baptist Church. He was employed with Ingles Market in Blue Ridge, GA as a Clerk. He was a faithful Copper Basin Cougar serving on the Cougars Football Team as an Assistant Manager from 1987 thru 2015. He was also a huge Tennessee Volunteer following the Tennessee Volunteers Football program for many years. Jonathan was preceded in death by his father, Luke Runion. He was a kind and dedicated person who will be greatly missed.

He is survived by his mother, Shelby R. Runion of Turtletown, TN; sisters, Wanda Ledford of Cleveland, TN, Rose (Scott) Bennie of Murphy, NC,Dee Dee Deal of Canton, GA, Julia (Eric) Davis of Turtletown, TN, Traci (Darrell) Habbinga of Clearwater, MN; Seven nieces and nephews along with a large number of other relatives and friends.

Funeral services will be conducted Friday, May 15th at 2:00 P.M. from the Turtletown Baptist Church with Rev. Paul Ray Harper and Rev. Phillip Thomas officiating. Music will be by Trissie Harper, Stephanie Murphy and Janice Reid. Pallbearers include Lowell Holt, Brad york, Eric McFarland, Jeff Runion, Todd Doster, Derek Kimsey, Darren Kimsey, Logan Davis and Denver Davis. Interment will follow in the Turtletown Baptist Church cemetery.
