Fannin County Middle School 8th grade teams have announced Students of the Month for March and April. Students are chosen by their academic teachers for this distinction. Qualifications for this honor include outstanding citizenship, good attendance, respectfulness toward faculty and peers, and a good academic standing.Students chosen for March are: Maddie Weaver (Team 8A), daughter of Julie Barnes of Blue Ridge and Caleb Weaver of Blue Ridge; Timothy Garland (Team 8A), son of David & Anna Garland of Mineral Bluff; Alexis Payne (Team 8B), daughter of Shannon & Janet Payne of McCaysville; and Brandon Peters, son of Todd & Marilyn Parks of Blue Ridge.

Students chosen for April are: Lexus Walden (Team 8A), daughter of Donald & Amanda Garland of Morganton; Walker Gregory (Team 8A), son of Jason & Emma White of McCaysville; Angelina Young (Team 8B), daughter of Paul & Jonnie Young of Blue Ridge; and Noah Nicholson (Team 8B), son of Tim & Rebecca Nicholson of Mineral Bluff.
