Psalm 139:23-24 “Search me, O God, and know my heart; test me and know my thoughts. See if there is any offensive way in me, and lead me in the way everlasting.” O Lord God, your testing of us helps us to know ourselves. You test us not to cause us to fail but to bring out the best in us. You know the attitude of our minds, the sensitivity of our hearts, the purity of our thoughts, and the strength of our wills.

Help us to look deeply into ourselves and show whatever in us may be offensive to you. If there is a wrong relationship with others help us to make it right. If there is an unjust deed that we have done grant us the will to correct it. If there is secret sin that we have not confessed to you convict us of it. If there are things left undone that we should have done give us the courage to do them.

You can lead us in the way that we should go. Give this person who pauses for a moment of meditation your clear leading today. In Jesus name.
