Mr. Jack Eldridge Harris: Obituary

Mr. Jack Eldridge Harris, age 73, of Blue Ridge, GA passed away Monday, April 6, 2015 at his home. Mr. Harris was born on July 24, 1941 in Fannin County, GA. He was a sheet rock hanger and finisher and was a member of Union Local #193. He was a member of New Prospect Baptist Church and was a United States Army veteran.

He is survived by his wife, Lois Burk Harris of Blue Ridge, GA; daughters and sons-in-law, Rhonda and Stan Deprow of Soddy Daisy, TN, Robyn Posey of Blue Ridge, and Renee and Richard Smith of Ellijay, GA; brother, Bobby Harris of Indianapolis, IN; sister, Betty Hancock of Savannah, GA; grandchildren, Brandon Burk Conner and Zakkary Kelley; and great grandchildren, Fisher Conner and Waylon Conner.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, April 9, 2015 at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Blue Ridge Chapel with Rev. Nathan Stuart and Rev. Randy Hooper officiating. Music will be by the New Prospect Church Choir. Pallbearers will be Zakk Kelley, Damon Burk, Richard Smith, Stan Deprow, Scottie Harris, Doyle Petty, and Chris Harris. Interment will follow in Mobile Cemetery with full military honors by North Georgia Honor Guard.
