School Counselor Diana Bice coordinated with First Grade teachers Cindy Hicks, Melissa King, Michelle Thomas, and Stacy Herndon to plan career lessons for the first grade students. They invited three community helpers to present lessons to them and talk about what it takes to make it in their job. Career lessons are now required in the elementary school setting and this was a fun and educational way for them to learn. The students were able to see equipment from their job, learn fun facts, and see live demonstrations. Students were even allowed to participate in these interactive lessons. West Fannin thanks these helpers for their commitment to our children.
