Carolyn Deaver Hughes, age 67 of Blairsville, passed away Thursday, March 26, 2015 at her home. Mrs. Hughes was born December 12, 1947 in McCaysville, Georgia to the late Ray and Charlsie Sullivan Deaver. Carolyn was a lifelong resident of this area and a member of Ivy Log Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Johnny Hughes; sisters, Sherry Allison, Sandra Foster and Barbara Garrett, and Brother, Ray Danny Deaver.
Survivors include: daughter, Amanda (Scott D.) Hughes; granddaughters, Ansley and Kimsey Hughes and Brother, Ronald (Mack) Sullivan.
Graveside services: Saturday, March 28, 2015 at 3:00 pm at the Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery with the Rev. Tony Black officiating. Pallbearers: Cory Sullivan, Bruce Gray, Jess Deaver, Timmy Duckworth, Donald Elliott, and Gary Sosebee.
In lieu of flowers, the family suggests that donations may be made to the Ivy Log Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 36 Jamie Gray Ln., Blairsville, GA 30512.
