Daily Prayer – March 7th

Exodus 20:17 The Tenth Commandment, “Thou shalt not covet …”We adore you, O God, as the source of every good and perfect gift. You are able to bestow or to withhold your Divine blessings. Our desire is to seek first your kingdom, and then the things of your choosing will be added unto us.

Help us to learn how to live in a materialistic society where we are constantly told that we must have certain things in order to be happy. Forbid that we should build our lives around the material for it will soon pass away, and it can never satisfy. We pray that we will ever keep our desires under your discipline so that we shall not live in the grip of covetousness.

We pray today for those who have a deep desire to know you better. Would you reveal yourself better. Would you reveal yourself in whatever way will meet their needs. In a time when men are saying that you are dead remind us that you have said that man is dead apart from Christ.

Help this person who bows before the throne just now to live in the newness of life that Jesus Christ offers daily.

Amen.
