FCMS have decided to postpone the “Respect for All Project” to a later date (to be determined later) due to inclement weather.
Bullying Training – Please join us and help be a part of the solution. The Respect for All Project is coming to the Fannin County Middle School Cafeteria on February 21, 2015 from 2:00 P.M. until 5:00 P.M. This three hour workshop, for all adult family members and school staff serving ages K-12, will help us learn how to create a school climate where all students feel safe and welcome. We will watch the nationally recognized film Let’s Get Real by academy award winning filmmaker Debra Chasnoff that examines a variety of issues that lead to bullying and exclusion, including bias related to educational disabilities, religious differences, socio-economic class, perceived sexual orientation, gender, and more. We will learn more about the dynamics of bullying, the impact on children and young people, and how to create a culture where kids stand up for each other and bring respect to all – regardless of differences. As adults, we can prevent and address bullying and exclusion so ALL young people here can have the respect, safety, and friendships they need to succeed.
