Daily Prayer: February 16, 2015

Philippians 1:29 “For unto you is given in the behalf of Christ, not only to believe in Him, but, also to suffer for His sake.”O God of tender compassion and gracious love, how good it is to bow in your presence. You know everything about suffering. We rejoice that Jesus would suffer for us. We ask for spiritual understanding so that we may accept whatever suffering we must bear for Him. When there is persecution, may we be strong, when there are physical afflictions which may be for your glory, may we be brave, and when there are trying circumstances allowed through your permissive will, may we be true.

Equip us so that we may endure hardship as good soldiers of Jesus Christ. Break down every barrier that prevents our souls from growing in fellowship with you. Grant that this day’s walk may be with you in Christ.

Amen.
