Minnie Irene Lowery age 83, of Copperhill, TN passed away Thursday, February 12, 2015 in the Life Care Center of Copper Basin. Mrs. Lowery was born in Fannin County, GA to the late Clyde Otis and Gussie Mary Foster Patterson. She was of the Baptist Faith and attended Mt. Harmony Baptist Church. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Joppa Hoyt Lowery.
She is survived by daughter Freda (Don) Shinpaugh of Copperhill, TN; brother Winfred Patterson of Blue Ridge, GA; grandchildren, April Waller, Jim Shinpaugh, Donna Payne, Amanda Nicholson and Andrea Dalton; great grandchildren, Nathan Waller, Kevin Waller, Christy Shinpaugh, Kimberly Waller, Brett Payne, Sydney Nicholson, Brandon Payne, Brooke Payne, Dillon Payne, Jacob Smith, Jules Nicholson and William Nicholson; great-great grandchild, Ally Waller.
Funeral services will be conducted Saturday, February 14th at 2:00 p.m. from the Akins of Copperhill Chapel with Rev. Mark Huff and Rev. Delmar Davenport officiating. Music will be by Edward Vest and Rev. Mark & Pam Huff. Pallbearers include Frank Shinpaugh, Derek Nicholson, Mark Nicholson, Ricky Peak, Kevin Johnson and Jeremy Smith. Interment will follow in the Hipps Chapel cemetery. The family will receive friends at the funeral home Friday evening from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Condolences to the family may be sent to www.akinsfuneralhome.com.
